Techno Line: What is HDMI?

HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) was introduced in 2002 to foster the high definition era.

This high definition solution carries video, audio and remote control signals with full backward
compatibility to DVI (Digital Visual Interface).Although smaller (plugs/sockets) than DVI, HDMI
category one cables are rated for 720p and 1080i televisions, while the latest category (three)
supports 2560X1440 HDTV. DVI support up to 1920X1080 resolutions. An HDMI source can detect
a DVI device on the other end thus offering full backward compatibility.

We’re still offering a very special deal to the builders on our new HD Bundle. The HD bundle includes
everything you need to join the HD revolution!

A New HD World

There’s an old saying: “If a show is worth watching, it’s worth watching in HD.” Actually, we just
made that up, but it could become an old saying some day! The fact of the matter is, you don’t have
to put up with cable TV any more. Thousands and thousands of people across Canada are taking the
advice of the cute little beavers, and are switching over to the superior quality of Bell HDTV.

Yet, some people are still hesitant. Much like the early years of phone deregulation, some people
are still afraid to venture away from the security of the big monopoly that has served them for so
long. Maybe you’ve switched your local or long distance phone company. You wanted to see if you
could get a better deal elsewhere. Why should your television service be any different?
Look around next time you’re driving home. You’ll see satellite dishes everywhere. More and more
people everyday are discovering HDTV! It’s not just the superior price and more flexible bundles and
packages that are fueling the satellite revolution, it’s the HDTV! Compare:

Cable TV – 21 HD Channels
Satellite TV – 62 HD Channels

It’s time to make the switch to HDTV!

Builders: Are your homes being pre-wired for satellite TV? Is your condo development satellite
ready? Condo developments should have satellite wiring completed just after the framing stage. Do
you want to lose even one potential customer because they can’t get satellite TV in your development?
At City Wireless, we specialize in making sure that homes are wired properly for satellite TV right
from the start. We can handle all your wiring needs, including television, alarm, and home theatre.
We also specialize in home theatre systems. No job is too big or too small! Call us for any of your
